Speck is the other boy that participates in the freckle counting contest where he competes against Mickey. He eventually wins the contest with 349 freckles, just two more than Mickey.
The actor who played Speck is unknown; Speck is not to be confused with Jay Smith, Donald Haines, Buddy MacDonald, or Douglas Greer.
