History: Moyer "Sonny" Bupp is an American child actor who starred in films through the 1930s. Born Moyer MacClaren Bupp, he was one of the four Bupp children including Tommy Bupp, Jane Bupp and Ann Bupp, who traveled from New York City to Los Angeles to make movies. In addition to Men In Fright with the Little Rascals and "Cash And Carry" with the Three Stooges, Sonny starred in "Citizen Kane," one of the top one hundred movies of the 20th century, as the son of Orson Welles' character. His sister Ann was an extra in "Gone with the Wind." His older sister, June Bupp, starred in the 1935 movie, "Border Vengeance."
Starring in several films in his career, he also starred in "Love Is on the Air," best known as Ronald Reagan's first film, "The Renegade Trail," "Annie Oakley" with Barbara Stanwyck, "Kid Millions," "Angels With Dirty Faces," "The Devil and Daniel Webster" and "Tennessee Johnson."
Bupp also served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and while his film career. After, he retired from acting, he became an auto industry executive. He died at the age of 79 in Henderson, Nevada from undisclosed causes. He was the last surviving cast member of "Citizen Kane."
