Merekens is a Buffalo, New York company who ships unidentified merchandise across the country. One of their crates ends up in the old barn where the gang builds their fire engine, so possibly they are involved in farming or animal husbandry. Spanky McFarland and Scotty Beckett try sitting on it to stay out of the way, but they get shooed off of it by Tommy Bupp wanting to saw a board on it.
