The Short[]

Plot: Joe Cobb is busy shooting targets with his own air rifle, while Jackie Condon and Dick play wild animal hunting (Dick is the "animal"). Meanwhile, Ernie plays with a bow-and-arrow, and Farina acts as his carrier. Mickey takes a break from his job delivering milk bottles with the help of his well-trained dog to invite them all to visit his farm. Once there, they are free to lasso the pig and shoot at the rooster-shaped weather vane but also inadvertently lasso and shoot the farm hands. Eventually, Ernie catches a bear on his lasso and the gang runs for cover past Joe, who has sat down to relax after he choked on his handmade cigarette and his britches kept falling down, but upon seeing the bear, he's running just as fast as them and losing his pants along the way.
Quotes:

  • "Give a small boy an air-gun or a sling shot, and then have an ambulance ready." - Opening Narration

Notes/Trivia:

  • One of the Rascals in this short was actually a nineteen-year-old midget named Dick Henchen (named on Lucky Corner Website ) who smoked cigars between scenes.
  • Ernie once again confuses Farina's gender by telling him to act like a lady.
