Kate Kelly is the sister of Pat Kelly, and the aunt of Mickey Daniels on his father's side. (Mickey briefly has the surname "Kelly" for her appearance.) Wealthy and well-to-do, she has a son named Percival, and she also tries to adopt Mickey to raise him as a gentleman, but Mickey is not ready to be cultured and balks at her efforts to change him. In her absence, Mickey's friends turn her home into a shambles, convincing Kate to let Mickey be the boy he already is.
